When shipping product to a Service Center:

Product needing repair that is not under warranty may be shipped to a KZValve Service Center. Contact the Service Center in advance of shipping for instructions. If the product has been used, the Service Center may need a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) document completed. All returns that have come in contact with chemicals require a Decontamination Statement Form for each product returned.

Warranty Information

KZValve will warranty all new actuators sold against defective material and/or workmanship under normal use, maintenance, and service for a period of ONE YEAR after the date of purchase. This warranty coverage applies only to the original customer and is non-transferrable. This warranty is effective as long as the goods are used for the normal purposes for which they are intended and are used in conformance with industry established engineering, installation, operating, and maintenance specifications, recommendations and instructions. Any defective part will be repaired or replaced at KZValve‘s discretion, at no charge, providing the customer returns the defective unit to KZValve (pre-paid) along with a factory issued Return Authorization Number and briefly describes the problem. This warranty does not apply to valves to which the actuator is mounted to unless the valve leaks or is otherwise defective when new. This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by improper installation, neglect, accident, misuse, or as a result of service or modification by other than an authorized KZValve service center. All costs of removing and re-installing the product are the customer’s responsibility. KZValve will not pay for shipping charges incurred in sending the defective product from the customer to KZValve, but will pay for standard ground FedEx return shipment. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and all other obligations or liabilities on the part of KZValve. In no event shall KZValve be liable for any direct, incidental, or consequential damages of any nature, or losses or expenses resulting from any defective product or the use of any product. The repair or replacement of a product is the customer’s exclusive remedy. By its acceptance of the goods, customer hereby specifically and expressly waives all other liability or obligation of any kind or character of company, including without limitation liability predicated upon strict liability or tort, and all damages and losses as a result thereof, including but not limited to all known, unknown, foreseeable, unforeseeable, absolute, contingent, liquidated, non-liquidated, compensatory, general, special, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, and with respect to the goods, their return, repair, restoration and replacement. With respect to such waiver, customer hereby waives all statutory, common law rights, defenses and limitations which would seek to limit application of the above general release. This warranty gives the customer specific legal rights, and the customer may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state. Warranty Return Policy

KZValve Distributors and Retailers return policy and warranty may vary.

Standard KZValve warranty is 1 (one) year from date of purchase.

Please contact your Distributor or Retailer for information on their return policy. Defective product purchased from a distributor or retailer must be returned to the place of purchase. If product is on an OEM piece of equipment, contact the manufacturer of the equipment for warranty policy and return information.

Product purchased directly from KZValve and not a distributor or retailer or OEM part, contact KZValve directly for a Return Authorization Number and return instructions. All returns that have come in contact with chemicals require a Decontamination Statement Form for each product returned.

Environmental Regulations

Product sent to KZValve or to any of KZValve’s Authorized Repair Centers for repair must be thoroughly cleaned, decontaminated, and dried. OSHA Regulations! Product received that has not been decontaminated will not be returned. MSDS and Decontamination Statement are required.

Conflict Minerals Policy

KZValve is a committed to sourcing components and materials from companies that shares our values around human rights, ethics and environmental repressibility. We require all of our suppliers to abide by the requirements of our Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits human rights abuses and unethical practices. We also require all suppliers to comply with applicable legal standards and requirements.

On August 22, 2012, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) issued the final conflict minerals rule under Section 1502 the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Conflict Minerals Rule”). The Conflict Minerals Rule requires publicly traded companies to report annually the presence of conflict minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, or “3TG”) originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or adjoining countries (“Covered Countries”).

KZValve supports the goal of ending violence, human rights violations and environmental devastation in the Covered Countries. We comply with the requirements applicable to our Company under the Conflict Minerals Rule.

KZValve will assist our customers in implementing their conflict minerals programs. We strive to work cooperatively with our customers and supply chain partners in implementing conflict minerals compliance programs.

As part of this commitment, KZValve will exercise due diligence on all its suppliers in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk areas.

Under this policy, KZValve requires all its suppliers to:

  1. Conduct their business in raw conformance with the EICC Code of Conduct requirements.
  2. Exclusively source from smelters or refineries that have been independently audited and approved as “conflict-free” by the Conflict-Free Smelter Program.
  3. Exercise due diligence on their supply chains in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance and the EICC Code of Conduct.

RoHS Certificate of Compliance 

KZValve Certifies that all of our products designated and marked as RoHS complaint conform with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2015/863 as intended to annex II to (EU) RoHS II (directive 2011/65/EU) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic equipment (“RoHS Directive”). Said products having no intentional addition of the following: 

  • Lead (Pb) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Cadmium (Cd) <100PPM (.01% by mass)
  • Mercury (Hg) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Hexavalent Chromium (Cr) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Bis(2-ethlhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) <1000PPM (.1% by mass)

KZValve believes to the best of its knowledge that the above statements are accurate as of the date of this certification and the statements and certifications of suppliers or service providers of KZValve may have been relied upon in the preparation of this statement. Within the above defined limitations, this certificate may be relied upon by the distributors and customers of RoHS designated products of KZValve. REACH SVHC Statement, 197 Substances

Under the definition of the REACH regulations EC1907/2006, KZValve is a producer of “articles”. REACH requires article suppliers to inform requires article suppliers to inform recipients if an article contains a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) in Excess of 0.1% by weight. The latest 197 substances restricted per REACH Regulation were last update January 15th, 2019, in accordance to article 59(10) of the REACH Regulation. Based on the material content certification’s provided by KZValve’s suppliers, none of these substances are present in the materials we use in our products, including packing and shipping materials. Therefore, KZValve Products do not contain any of these SVHC in excess of 0.1% by weight, and as such none of the aforementioned substances are imported at or above one tonne per year. 

KZValve will continue to comply with REACH requirements and notify customers of any change in article content.
